A BRIEF BIO
Michael Vartan grabbed the attention of the film world with his performance in the 1993 Italian epic "Fiorile." Born in Paris to a French father and an American mother, Vartan grew up in the tiny Normandy village of Fleury (pop. 300) until the age of 18 when he moved to Los Angeles to live with his mother. On her prompting, he enrolled in acting classes and started working in both the US and in France. It was due to Drew Barrymore that Michael was cast in "Never Been Kissed", a film which marked his first starring role in a studio film after having starred in several independent films including "Myth of Fingerprints" with Julianne Moore and "The Curve" with Keri Russell, both of which premiered at Sundance in 1997 and 1998. Vartan’s other film credits include "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" and "The Pallbearer."
Michael is an avid sports fan and plays hockey, golf, tennis and bowling as often as he can. He is also fluent in French.
