Well, here I am again, posting my annual "Happy New Year" messege in
this dead, empty Yahoo Group. Why? Why not?! Last year this dead
group saw 62 posts, all of them (except for my "Happy New Year 2008"
post a year ago) were, of course, spam. That's quite an increase.
There were only 44 posts in '07, and only 35 posts for the entire six
years before that! And the bulk of last years posts (45 of the 62)
came in the last two months of the year. It appears that the spamming
of dead Yahoo Groups is on the rise.

But about "Time Bandits" & Terry Gilliam: I love it! It's a great
film! But I didn't actually get around to viewing it in '08. Haven't
seen it for quite a few years now. And I didn't get around to
viewing "Tideland" this past year (as I stated, a year ago, that I
was going to) either. As for Gilliam, his new film which is due in
theatres sometime in '09 was in the news in '08 following the
untimely death of young Heath Ledger (who was indeed awesome as the
Joker in "The Dark Knight"). A terrible loss.

Like I said a year ago, I've got high hopes for "The Imaginarium of
Doctor Parnassus". In next years "Happy New Year" post I hope to
express my approval of it. We shall see.
