If I don't make bail, I'm going away for good!

The Muscular Dystrophy Association wants to lock me up, and I need your help making bail.

Without your help, they'll take me away "for good."

:)

In all seriousness, any help you can provide would be much appreciated, by myself and the MDA.

Suggested donations:
$5.00--less than buying an album on iTunes
$10.00--about what you would pay for two or three movie rentals
$15.00--less than you would pay for coffee in a week
$20.00--about what you would pay for two movie tickets
$30.00--less than dinner out for two
$50.00--less than you would pay for a tank of gas
$100.00--less than a cut and color at a salon
$200.00--less than some people pay for shoes (you know who you are!)

And think of all the benefits of those donations!

Every little bit helps.  Click here to visit my Participant Page. https://www.mdaevent.org/ParticipantInfo.aspx?j=4ed6f6a0-2b2a-42b2-bb8a-ffeeac8a0e43

See below for more information provided by the MDA...

This year, I have the honor and pleasure of participating in MDA's 2008 Salem Telethon Executive Lock-Up to help "Jerry's Kids®". To reach my goal I need your help!

I'd like to include you or your company on my list of contributors who are helping me reach my goal. Your donation would help MDA continue the important fight against muscular dystrophy. Check out my web page by clicking on the link above. There you'll find all kinds of information about MDA, and be able to make your tax-deductible donation on-line using your credit card.

MDA serves people in our community with neuromuscular disease by providing clinics, support groups, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and summer camp for kids. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages, right here in our community.

I sincerely hope that you'll take the opportunity to support MDA. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me.

On behalf of the families MDA serves, thank you!

Warmest Regards,

Sarah Schuening

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VACANCY – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK --
COMPOSED BY PAUL HASLINGER TO BE RELEASED ON AUGUST 28, 2007

(August 14, 2007, New York, NY)  Commotion Records, dedicated to releasing soundtrack albums for independent films, will release the chilling score for the film Vacancy, composed by Paul Haslinger (Tangerine Dream) on August, 28, 2007.  The film, which came out this past summer, will be released on DVD on August 14, 2007.

Grammy-nominated composer Paul Haslinger has delivered an eerie and heart pounding score to accompany the suspense and terror of the film, Vacancy.  Having gained notoriety while playing in the band Tangerine Dream, Haslinger has more recently focused his career on soundtracks. The music from Vacancy arranges intricate layers of intense sounds that begin very quietly and build to a wild crescendo.  Traditional instrumentation coupled with electronic music make this a uniquely scored thriller.  At one point a heart monitor is cleverly used to provide for a particularly chilling notion of impending doom.

Haslinger said, “I believe the resulting soundtrack makes a statement about our time, about our ability to mix and match across periods and styles, and to do so in a way that is both eclectic and forward driving in it’s creative design.”

Classically trained in Salzburg and Vienna, Haslinger’s transition into scoring films has been completely natural.  In addition to various solo projects and numerous scores his recent efforts include: Underworld, The Girl Next Door, The Italian Job and contributing music to Stephen Spielberg’s, Minority Report.   Haslinger has also earned a Grammy nomination for his work on the album, Canyon Dreams as well as an Emmy nomination for scoring the television mini series, Sleeper Cell: Al Faitha.

Vacancy is the story of Amy and David Fox (played by Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson), a couple who make the horrific decision to stay at the Pinewood Motel. The tension immediately builds as the newlyweds begin to notice something is very wrong, and their lives are in grave danger.  The intensity that follows is greatly accentuated by the score’s great dynamic highs and lows.

Conjuring up hints of Hitchcock’s, Psycho, Vacancy is a modern day thriller that feels like a horror film without the cliché of constant on screen violence.  Haslinger was able to take this and as he describes, “tip my hat to my favorite film composer of all times, Bernard Hermann.”  This is evident in the Main Title credit music, “with its reference to bygone thriller-noir days.”

Commotion Records has a history of great soundtrack releases including Mysterious Skin, Happy Endings, Code 46, The Cooler, and Oscar Winning film Hotel Rwanda.  Vacancy, along with the Commotion releases, Broken English (Directed by Zoe Cassavetes with music from Scratch Massive, I Am Kloot and Juan Trip) and The Ten (composed by Paul Craig Wedren), will be in stores on August 28, 2007.

Luke is looking for The One
June 18, 2007

Luke Wilson is still searching for the love of his life.

The Vacancy actor has previously dated Hollywood beauties Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow but says he's never been tempted to settle down.

Luke, 36, told Cosmopolitan magazine: "It's that old cliché - I haven't met The One."

Although he is no longer romantically involved with Drew and Gwyneth, Luke has remained good friends with them both.

He revealed: "I think it helps if you try and stay friends and, to their credit, they're the ones who've kept the friendship alive."

Luke - who has recently been linked to US TV actress Dana Workman - also joked he is on the lookout for another high-profile girlfriend as he needs the extra publicity.

The younger brother of Wedding Crashers star Owen Wilson said: "When you put two famous actors together, you do get a lot of attention. Maybe I could use a little of that kind of publicity right now, but all the good ones seem to be taken!" - Bang Showbiz

Kate & Owen's Romance: The Real Deal

WEDNESDAY APRIL 04, 2007 11:15 AM EDT

By Ashley Williams

After months of playing it cool, Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are turning up the heat on their romance – with his brother Luke's blessing

"He seems very happy," says Owen's younger brother, actor Luke Wilson. "[Kate] is a very nice girl."

Hudson, 27, and Owen Wilson, 38, have been openly enjoying each other's company recently. In Australia, where Hudson was working on the movie Fool's Gold, the pair shared bike rides and walks on the beach.

Now that they're back in the States, they're not letting jet lag cool their romance. Last Friday, the previously low-profile couple were anything but shy over lunch at Santa Monica's Ivy at the Shore restaurant.

"From the second they walked in, they were all over each other," says a witness. "Kate even [sat] on his lap to give him kisses."

The pair's new openness reflects a "natural progression" in the relationship, says a friend. Hudson, mom to 3-year-old Ryder, split with husband Chris Robinson last August.

"Owen has realized what a great thing he has," says the couple?s friend. "They're having fun, but things are definitely getting more serious."

Here's a little bit of actual Wilson brother news.

I was listening to public radio a couple of days ago, and they were
interviewing author Diablo Cody (writer of "Candy Girl: A Year in The
Life of an Unlikely Stripper") and she said Luke is going to be in a
movie she wrote. It's kind of cute, because she can't legally say it's
him, but she refers to him as one of a set of famous brothers, and the
other one is known as the Butterscotch Stallion. Not exactly hard to
figure out. :) If you want to listen to the interview, it's at

Goodness gracious, is it almost December already? Where has this year gone? Sheesh! Anyway, how are y'all doing? Sorry I haven't said much lately, but finals are next week, so after that I'll probably be chatting more.  I need to send out holiday cards soon too. I haven't really done it in the past, but I receive some from my online friends, so it's time to reciprocate :)  I'd love to get everyone's address, so if you like you can email me off the board and I'll be sure to send you one :)

I almost can't believe it, but it's snowing like mad here!  It seems so early, but I guess it IS almost December.  It's beautiful, but I don't want to drive in it.  My mom's getting me chains for the car, but I've never used them and I hope I don't have to.  Can't wait for finals to come and be over!

So, what are y'all up to? Any big plans for the holidays? Seen any good movies or heard any good music or read and good books lately? I'm always looking for never things to watch, listen to, and read.  I have some reviews I need to send to the appropriate groups, so I'll be doing that soon :)

Stay warm, stay safe, and feel free to email me your address (as well as your birthday, if you like) and I'll be sure to send you some holiday cheer :)

Take care you guys.  I'll talk to you again soon :)

I couldn't find that one on my computer - I must have it in a
magazine. If I can find it I'll scan it and put it up later. In the
meantime, I put up some other pictures of Owen & Garcia at
http://www.owenwilson.net/garcia.htm The other dog in the lower left
picture is Luke's dog Brother.
