What does River Phoenix mean to me? Well, I never have managed to work

that one out.... I do know that watching some of River's performances allows

me to experience emotions that I perhaps can't normally feel on my own. How

pathetic that I have to rely on River Phoenix, the boy it seems without a smile,

to achieve this.

I have come to realize that it wasn't just an actor whose work

I admired who died on Sunset Boulevard that night. No, in reality it was in fact

somebody's grandson, someb
