Hi, everyone.

I saw the 1987 Orion Home Video logo, where we saw the 1981-1996 Orion
Pictures logo before and after the text "ORION HOME VIDEO" simply
fades in. It was seen in only every film from Orion.

Thanks.

Hi, everyone.

I saw the early 1990s Gladden Entertainment logo, where we saw a
lowercase "G" written in a blue cursive zooms out as a blue rotate
rectangle wipes in and "G" is turn white before and after the company
name fades in. It was seen in only one film, and that's
1989's "Weekend at Bernies".

Thanks.

I have just uploaded the old Walt Disney Pictures logo in widescreen.
I have also uploaded the Walt Disney Pictures logo from 1985 to 2006.
THAT'S RIGHT, WALT DISNEY PICTURES! I DID NOT modify a stock Walt
Disney logo. THIS IS THE REAL THING! You can also see the old WDP logo
on The Muppet Christmas Carol.

Check them out!

Hi, everyone.

I saw an "altered" version of the 1976-81 Columbia Pictures logo,
where we saw the Torch Lady dances before and after holding the torch.
It was seen in only one film, and that's 1978's "Thank God It's Friday".

Thanks.

Hi Gang,

Is it true that the logo jingles known as "Paramount Fanfare" and "Paramount Music Logo" are possibly rearrangements of the Schifrin/Drasnin "Color I.D." TV logo, which were heard in Paramount's "TV Blue Mountain" logo after 1978? The Matz arrangements were heard from 1978-1981, 1979-1985, 1980-1981 and 1981-1984, while Mollin's were heard from 1982-1987 and 1985-1987.

Reason being, Universal/MCA Television (known as Revue before 1963) had a similar situation. The original famed 4-bar jingle, written by Juan Esquivel and Stanley Wilson, was heard here from 1963-1969. This music was shortened after '69 (here re-arranged by Pete Rugolo, and then from 1973-1975 by Jack Marshall), which was perhaps the template for future versions of the jingle. Finally, in 1975, the music was shortened again (this time re-arranged through 1982 by the famous Quincy Jones), with much of its original Revue leanings washed out (and re-arranged by Robert Prince from 1982-1987 and 1987-1991).

Joseph, could you please upload the following:

a.: A video clip of the Miramax Films logo (in full screen)
b.: Same, but in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen
c.: Same once again, but in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen (seen
on "Pulp Fiction")
d.: Same as (B), but with "Presents" fading in (seen on "Kolya")
e.: A video clip of the Miramax Family Films logo (in full screen,
seen on "Tom and Jerry: The Movie" and a 1998 direct-to-video movie
that Miramax produced [can't remember the name, although I think it
dealed with toys saving Christmas])
f.: Same, but in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen (seen on "Gordy")
g.: Same once again, but in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen

All of these files must be in good quality and have no bugs
whatsoever!!

PS: BTW, which film (and DVD) did the Miramax Family Films logo come
from (which looks 1988-ish)?

This is an excellent site for great looking Studio logos, but I have
some questions/problems and I need your help.

I know of 2 unusual Paramount Logos, but I'm not sure where I saw one
of them and I'd like a copy of it.

The first Paramount logo is the one from "Comming to America"...it
starts out the same but then it looks like the camera goes through the
logo, over the mountain. A cool logo move at that!

The second is the problem...I remember the Paramount logo at its "rest"
spot, then it seems like the camera goes around the logo, behind it. Is
this from the movie "The Core"? Please advise if you know.

I'd like to know how to download videos (files of logos like off a disc
or tape) I have a Sony Vaio Computer (3yrs old with many plug jacks
and I'm able to play DVD's)...could someone help me do this?

Thanks! Jim

My sister says it's normal, but the Corpse Bride's shield variation is
way too dark. I don't understand. Can someone give me a description of
this? BTW, I'm new, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm from CLG.
Thanks! ;)

Hi Gang,

Does anyone know which Paramount movie logos (the opening ones) had music in them for the first time? I do remember, AFAIK, the last Paramount movie jingle of 1970-1987 was that of the long version of the 1970-1987 Paramount Television jingle composed by Lalo Schifrin.

If anyone has WMV files of the 1970, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1979 Paramount movie open logos with its own music in them (the silent ones are more common), please upload them here or send them to me as e-mail attachments to benedge81@....

Yes, this is a cool logo and I think anything from outside the U.S. is really
fun
and interesting, but I had to remove the .mov German studio logo uploaded
here because we only accept .wmv and .mpg video files only. If you have a
video converter that will change your .mov file to a .mpg or .wmv file, you may
do so and re-upload that file in the new format.

That is all.

People Of The Closing Logo Group and the Team FX Unlimited
Media Community:

A major atrocity has befallen the video library of the DLC
Organization headquarters.

A majority of the television history video archive owned by D.L.
Chandell with material sourcing from 1980-1985 (obtained only
a year ago) and one tape sourcing from 1995 Philadelphia were
stolen and thrown away by a direct family member.
This crime has affected and will further affect the entire
CLG/Team FX community in terms of necessary research, and
steps are being made to secure the rest of the collection.

Still in all, the DLC Organization library needs to rebuilt.
Therefore, we are calling out for videocassette donations from all
fellow members from our groups, entities and affiliates.

We are calling for videotapes sourcing from AS EARLY AS
POSSIBLE -- from approximately 1977 to 1986 from any and all
locations, especially New York on its ORIGINAL TAPE and
PACKAGING [especially for those who have tapes lying around
and who is thinking of throwing them away].
If you don't wish to give the original tape, we will make special
alternate arrangements.

Contact D.L. Chandell at

for more specific information or to arrange a donation.

Good luck and thank you.
