I'm not very technically good at doing these sorts of things if you
mean you want it on this site. All it requires is accessing the new
items on the Memphis Film Festival page and transferring them here.
Hey
have you uploaded the pic from Memphis?

Hi
I'm a big Shirley fan and have been looking for this films for the last
15 years.
Does anyone have a copy on VHS-NSTC or DVD? I'm happy to pay for a copy.
I would really love to see this film The Naked Bridage.
Paul
For those interested in recent photos, the new addition to the Memphis
Film Festival Web Site containing highlights of last June's Festival,
has now appeared.
Tony Williams
I met the lady herself at the Memphis Film Festival last weekend and
found her a highly creative and talented person. In addition to her
1999 autobiography GOLDEN GIRL, she has recent published a short
book of her poems, subtitled "An Intimate Diary of Poems."
Her work is really personal, sincere, and imaginative each page
containing excellent photos of her and family by a professional
photographer. The covers are beautifully illustrated in color.
For those of you who are interested, this privately published
collection of work is available from
Concept Productions Inc.
Post Office Box 3151,
Murfreesboro,
Tennessee 37133-3151.
U.S.A.
I believe the cost is $25 which is well worth this professionally
produced work but you will have to contact the company for postage
details.

This group looks very interesting, if this is an example of the
quality of work you do then please add or invite me to any other
groups that you may own , moderate or belong to. I am trying to put
together a library of groups. Send group link or invite to

I've just joined this site and emailed Michaelk. But I thought I'd
inform you that e-Bay have categorized the seller of MILLION EYES OF
SUMURU as unreliable - if it is the person from Skokie, Il. Also,
Shitely is appearing at the Memphis Film Festival next month.
Also, does anybody have a copy of the George Lazenby 1971 film,
UNIVERSAL SOLDIER?
Tony Williams
The lady will be at the Memphis Film Festival in mind-June and I have
an interview scheduled. If any members would like to forward questions
that do not cover material dealt with in her autobiography GOLDEN
GIRL, I'd be pleased to consider them.
Thanks to Michael, I viewed THE MILLION EYES OF SUMURU last night. It
was so badly directed but allowed Shirley the opportunity to play a
whip-wielding Femme Fatale. Had she benefitted from better direction
and script, then maybe the series could have turned into a franchise
and she might have considered acting for a few more years?
Any group members know of a Shirley publicity photo from GOLDFINGER
where she is wearing only a pajama top and sitting on a stool. Her
right leg is lifted and bent (inner flesh exposed) and her left leg is
extended down (toes touching floor). Can anyone help me?
"Million Eyes of Sumuru" is available on DVD on eBay. I have seen it many
times there. I own a DVD of this film and have watched it recently. Does anyone
have a widescreen VHS or DVD of this film? I have the Mystery Science
Theater version as well.

Hey
Just to let you know that there will be a new Shirley DVD coming out
on the 21 Feb 05 Dentist On The Job, not sure if it will have any
any extra's on?

Hi!
Does Shirley Eaton have a website of her own?
An acquaintance of mine goes to these film and TV conventions and has
seen her at one or two.
Do you know if Shirley Eaton is making any personal appearances at
any of these conventions in the near future?
Many thanks, Paul. Wonderful they are too.

Sorry, wish I could direct you somewhere where you could get it.
I got this vhs copy about 5 yrs ago from a company in Hawaii that
specialised in rare video. Actually it turned out to be a copy of a
copy that was taken from a TV broadcast of the film.Video quality
not so great but viewable.
I don;t think they are in business anymore..I tried looking them up
again without any luck.

I bought a bootleg copy of "The Million Eyes of Sumuru" on eBay. It's a
DVD-R. I think I could copy it for you. I sold my VHS copies of both films on
eBay.
The sequel "The Girl From Rio" is on DVD and includes interviews with Shirley
Eaton! It is a widescreen DVD and available on Amazon.com. Check www.imdb.com
for more info on both films.

Hey Paul,
Sorry I don't have Rhino on video. The last I saw it was about 15 yrs
ago. They rarely show it on TV.
Yes, the first Su Maru movie was better, but I still like them
because our golden girl is in them.( well she was a dark haired
beauty in these ones!)

I've been a fan of Shirleys' for years. I first saw her in a film
called "Rhino" and have seen most of her movies.
Can't quite determine what I think her best film was...I've loved
her in all of them. She could always take the part of a good girl
and play a not so good girl as well.
I recently got a copy of her film "Million eyes of Su-Maru" which
was as hard as hell to get.She played a nasty woman who was out to
establish a female dominated society. Not a woman to be messed with:)
I belive a lot of her films are available on video so you can always
check her out in her other movies.

I don't know how old I was the first time I saw GOLDFINGER, although
I know it was on TV, not in the theatre. Shirely Eaton struck me as
worlds more attractive than Honor Blackman. When she was "gilded"
to death, I thought they'd made some terrible mistake. That was one
of the most erotic images I can ever recall seeing in a movie. I'm
nearly unaware of the rest of her work in film and would appreciate
hearing what others deem her "best stuff".

Thanks for letting us in the UK know. If I'm not mistaken, the film
also featured the late Bob Monkhouse, although that's not
necessarily a good thing.
