Russell Crowe has explained why he loves working with renowned filmmaker Ridley
Scott. Skip related content
The New Zealand star has teamed up with the English director several times,
notably on Gladiator, A Good Year and the upcoming Robin Hood, expected to be
released next May.
"My thing with Ridley is what happens on the set - when we are on a set
together, we begin to see the world in the same way and it's just a really
enjoyable experience for me," he said.
"I have a lot of responsibility when I work with him but I have a lot of
creative space when I work with him. And there's nobody that I've experienced
who creates a world, a complete world, better than Ridley Scott and that's what
I enjoy."
Russell, who stars in State Of Play with Ben Affleck, went on to say: "The part
of me that was a theatre actor appreciates being on a Ridley Scott set because
I'm a time traveller and I can live in the world and that's a great privilege
and I really enjoy it.
"At the end of the day, he is a master of the cinema and I'm very lucky to know
him and know him professionally the way I do."
