Chris Lloyd appeared on Radio 2, another channel owned by the BBC in the UK,
this afternoon. I was able to catch the interview as it streamed live, but the
podcast should be available in the next couple days on the following website:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006wr4r/episodes/2009
It will appear under November 25th. In this interview, Lloyd had some fun with
the host when the host remarked that Lloyd isn't at all in person like the
characters he is best known for. This one is probably the shortest of the Santa
Buddies promotional tour in London that I've listened to so far, but Chris is
keeping up his spirits in the interviews and they are definitely a rare treat.

Christopher Lloyd appeared on Absolute Radio this morning in London, and you can
listen to the podcast here:

The interview is about 15 minutes long and is featured in the highlights of
November 25th podcast. The beginning of the podcast has some funny tales from
callers about weird secrets they know about their parents, and that lasts for
about 10 minutes. I don't think you can skip over it to get straight to the
interview. Enjoy!

Christopher Lloyd is currently in London appearing on radio and television to
promote the new release "Santa Buddies", the 4th installment of the popular
Disney series. You can currently listen to a radio interview Lloyd did this
morning on BBC's 5Live promgram at the following link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00nywg9/Simon_Mayo_24_11_2009/
You can skip to about the 1 hour and 8 minute mark to hear the beginning of the
interview, and it goes on for about 15 minutes or so. Lloyd was great in the
interview and answered questions gamely. His best answer, in my opinion, is
probably to the question of whether he's upset that we're so close to 2015 and
don't have hoverboards and flying cars yet. Chris displays a great sense of
humor.

Hello;
I was under the impression that Chris Lloyd had a part in the new Christmas
Carol movie with Jim Carrey, but now it looks like I dreamed it or something.
Any clues?
Thanks

The cast has been announced for the musical adaptation production of the Dr.
Seuss classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", and Christopher Lloyd has been
cast as the Grinch. He will be joining JOhn Larroquette, who's playing Old Max.
The show will play at Los Angeles' Pantages Theatre, November 10-December 3, so
get your tickets if you're in the area.

I think I may have written that the play was running at the Los Angeles'
Pantages Theatre, November 10-December 3. It actually runs until January 3,
according to Playbill. Apologies for the confusion.
According to TrekMovie.com, Christopher Lloyd
("Kruge" in "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock")
will make his first-ever "Star Trek" convention
appearance at the Official Las Vegas "Star Trek"
Convention from August 6-9.
To be specific, Lloyd will appear during the
session on August 8th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
local time, per the website of the company
running the convention.

with the "Meteor" miniseries premiering on nbc this sunday at 9:00 pm,
Christopher Lloyd did an interview on the Danny Bonaduce show by phone in
Philadelphia. You can check it out here:

For starters, the film "Thicker" (a feature length version of the award winning
short film "Enfants Terribles" in which Lloyd starred) has a page with full
synopsis on the production company's website. You can check it out here:

Also, Christopher Lloyd is set to have a small role in dark comedy "Serial
Buddies", currently filming in Boston and small towns in Connecticut.
And finally, Christopher Lloyd recently attended the star studded gala of the
American Film Institute's tribute to Michael Douglas. The telecast will air on
TV Land on July 19th.
It's getting late here, so over and out!

Sorry, I meant to say March of 2010, not May.

Christopher Lloyd is featured in a hilarious spoof for the famed website "Funny
or Die". In the short, Lloyd plays a demented Willy Wonka in a hilarious
re-telling of the classic tale, with a horror spin. check it out at

Hi Everyone,
I have joined this group, because I am a huge fan of Christopher Lloyd and his
films. I Love
Back To The Future Films as well as his other Movies...
I hope to meet and chat with many of his fans.
Great Group.

Two pieces of news. First, the first season of "Head Case" is coming
to DVD on March 17, 2009. The DVD set will include the episode in
which Christopher Lloyd guest starred as himself in a hilarious
sketch whereby he confides that he suffers from paranoid delusions.
The show revolves around a therapist who caters to celebrity clients
and the format of the show is greatly shaped by improvisation from
the main cast and guest stars, similar in style to the HBO show "Curb
Your Enthusiasm". The episode originally aired in March of last
year, but for those who don't receive Starz, you can now watch the
episode on the DVD set. The DVD will include special features of
a "making of featurette", deleted scenes, and bloopers.
The other piece of news is that the mini-series "Knights of
Bloodsteel" (previously known as "Dragons of Black Roc"
and "Mirabillis") will air on the Sci-Fi Channel on April 19th and
20th. This will be the first original mini-series to air on Sci-Fi
since the Emmy award winning "Tin Man" mini-series. In "Knights of
Blood Steel", Lloyd plays the elder elf, Tesselink, who aids a motley
crew of misfits in completing their quest to save the mystical land
of Mirabillis.

All three Back to the Future movies are being re-released individually
on DVD. While the sequels essentially contain the same bonus material
as the previous DVD release (the one with all three movies as a full
set), the edition for the first Back to the Future movie contains some
new and exciting extras. The footage from the Back to the Future Ride
is included, as well as an edited version of the documentary "Looking
Back to the Future", which includes interview footage with Christopher
Lloyd that was supplied a few years ago. Unless you went to the
Delorean Car Show in Chicago a couple years ago, then you probably
haven't seen this interview, as it was only screened to the public at
that event. Anyhow, it's definitely worth checking out and purchasing
the DVD for that alone. :P
The DVD will be available at the usual retailers (Best Buy, etc.), but
can also be pre-ordered at Amazon.com or BTTF.com

A few loose questions I have:
1) Has he spoken of his death?
2) Has he spoken about what it was like to work with him?
3) Did he attend his funeral in real life?
I'm a big Kaufman fan as well (and just a huge fan of "TAXI" in
general).
I know Andy annoyed the cast a great deal, and Chris doesn't give a
lot of interviews *period*... which is why I wondered.
Thanks,
Shyla
Thanks Christina! Darby... I don't think I know where that is, but
it sounds kind of familiar. I wish he still lived here! It would be
nice to spot him somewhere (although I don't know if I'd approach
him, wouldn't want to bug him). David Letterman has a home just
slightly north of where I live, and I hear that he comes to my town
sometimes (I suppose because it's bigger, and has better shopping).
But, Dave's lived here a while and I've not personally met or seen
him yet. I think Montana's a nice place for celebs to retreat to.
With Dave, for example, there's sort of an unspoken rule to leave him
alone. If and when people do ask for an autograph, they do it
discreetly and without much fuss.
Thanks for the information, and for the welcome to the group. I'll
have to look that town up on the map.

Hi Shyla hows you
Welcome to the group, Shyla. Chris Lloyd did have a home in Darby,
Montana during the late 80s and early 90s, but he didn't live there
anymore. He did return to MT to film a movie earlier this year and
has returned to Montana for film festivals, etc.

Hi everyone,
I just decided to join the group. My name is Shyla, I'm 28, and live
in Montana. I heard he has a home here, but I don't know if that's
true or not.
So sad to hear about the fire. I'm just glad he wasn't home and there
were no fatalities.
I've been a Christopher Lloyd fan a lot of years now. I was a
huge "Taxi" fan as a teenager in the mid-90s when they began playing
the re-runs on Nick At Nite. ;-) And "BTTF" and "Clue" are another
two of my favorite movies.
I'm also delighted to hear Christopher is going to be starring in "A
Christmas Carol"! Christopher and Gene Wilder in the same play - WHAT
A TREAT!
It just so happens another one of my favorite actors - and one of
Christopher's former co-stars - Tim Curry, played Scrooge a few years
ago in NYC. Kind of cool.
Anyway, glad to be here.
Shyla
Unfortunately this is true. I've posted a link to a video on
ABCNews.com where he and longtime girlfriend, Lisa Loiacono, walk
through the ruins as well as some other articles. This is just so sad.

Ty for the info
Christopher Lloyd has been cast as the lead, Ebenezer Scrooge, in the
stage adaption of Charles Dickens' famous tale "A Christmas Carol".
Joining the star studded Los Angeles production in late December are
also Jane Seymour, John Goodman, Gene Wilder, and Jane Leeves. The
limited engagement production will be performed in the famed Kodak
Theater (home of the Oscars).

That's excellent. :) Glad to see he had such a good time on his birthday.

Happy 70th Birthday to Christopher "Doc Brown" Lloyd. And hopefully many many
more in the future (or past). And here's a little something for our famous
time-traveller.
