This is a site desiring to illustrate the rejected Ted Elliott/Terry Rossio 1994 GODZILLA screenplay as a continuing graphic novel, and to give updates concerning this project.
For those who were disappointed with the 1998 TriStar GODZILLA, I am attempting to give a mere glimpse of what could have been. This is dedicated to the previously unheralded efforts of Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio, Ricardo Delgado, Carlos Huante, Stan Winston, Jan De Bont, and many others too numerous to mention here.
"For my version, we created this exciting, fantastic new monster. and at the climax of the film, the two monsters fight in New York City. A big battle. AND GODZILLA SAVES NEW YORK. That was the whole idea. That's what a Godzilla movie is about for me."
Jan De Bont-1999 [G-FAN #42]
"Again, the only thing I tried to do was make it look recognizable. For instance, if you saw the silhouette of the creature coming out of the water, you would instantly say, "That's the same creature we've seen for the last 40 years!"
Ricardo Delgado-1998 [G-FAN #33]
"In flipping through the pages online, I find myself going back in time to when the project was going to be a reality. I’ve seen your sketches of the erect and hunched over (Godzilla) versions and they are well done. If the project had become a reality, I am almost certain that the production would gave gone with Crash and Stan’s version of the beast, but your affirmation of my simple sketches makes me happy".
Ricardo Delgado- June 2, 2006
