Alyson's younger sister, AJ Michalka, her real named is Amanda Joy Michalka. Amanda Joy's nickname is AJ.

AJ's older sister, Alyson Michalka, her real named is Alyson Renae Michalka. Alyson's nickname is Aly or Ally.

Alyson, who plays piano and guitar, also writes music and sings with her younger sister Amanda in a pop music duo "Aly & A.J." The sisters are currently working in the recording studio with award-winning music producers Ray and Greg Cham (Disney Channel Original Movies "The Cheetah Girls," "Full Court Miracle").

Amanda is an accomplished musician, singer and published songwriter. She is proficient at both the piano and the guitar. She is currently recording her first CD with her sister Aly. This CD will be a compilation of their original guitar-driven songs, and will soon be released into the mainstream market.

The two sisters are presently writing and recording their first "Aly & A.J." CD with Hollywood Records, to be released in early 2005.
