This past weekend Vanessa flew back to Vancouver from LA. There are alot of pics
on the web. Both leaving from LA and arriving in Vancouver there is a guy
pictured very close to her. It looks as though they were travelling together.
Anyone know who it is?

Contact us off the message board by email --- I was being a bit facetious with
her, although we would consider her for moderation if we emailed a bit and we
were convinced she was sincere.  We want to know all prospective moderators
better before we make a decision.  Obviously we don't want to promote a spammer,
pedophile, or pornographer to moderator.  We need to make sure any member
wanting to volunteer as a moderator is who they claim to be, and is willing to
moderate per our rules.  We don't just do it without an email interview.

I hope this clears up any confusion!

sarannehulley - which messages are you talking about?  We thought we had
screened out anything inappropriate.  Let us know if things are getting through
that we don't know about!  And by the way, we could always use another moderator
around here to keep things under control - we've lost several over the years. 
The bad news is - you would see the bad stuff.  The good news - you can ban the
bad guys!

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are going to get married!

Speaking to Britain's News of The World newspaper, the actress confirmed that
she's engaged to her High School Musical costar.

"We haven't set a date and if we did we'd keep it secret for as long as
possible," she said. "Why? What if one of us was offered a major film part? Then
we'd have to postpone our marriage and people would say we'd split up. And we
don't want that."

"Zac likes me in bright red lipstick," she added. "I am his one true vamp!"

Earlier this year, it was reported that Efron proposed to Hudgens during a joint
trip to Japan in late January.

One of the driving forces between the proposal, the National Enquirer reported
at the time, was Hudgens' mother Gina — who didn't approve of the couple living
together before they were married.

"Zac is relieved to be out of the pressure cooker, because Vanessa's mom has
been putting serious heat on him to make an honest woman of her daughter," a
source said.

"She is old-school and doesn't approve of Vanessa living with Zac without some
type of wedding promise.

"Zac really loves the current arrangement. He adores Vanessa, and they gel
really well together.

"Gina already considers Zac part of the family, so she's happy that he
proposed."

Apparently - the scene to which you are referring has been cut from the
theatrical version of the movie.  I'd beware of the DVD release, however.  Focus
on the Family is making no mention of it in their review:

So I can give a preliminary "thumbs-up" on the movie.  I'll look for more
reviews at lunch today.

As Vanessa moves on in her career to more adult roles, this is a friendly

I was able to tape The Live with Regis and Kelly part.  But totally forgot to
press the Pause Button to start recording The Today show.  Case in point you
have to release <Pause> to record something off TV...LOL.

The "High School Musical' star don't have any intention to do an albums and
appear again in any musicals project.

Vanessa Hudgens wants to stop singing for a while to focus on her acting career.

As she said in an interview:
"I mean, I love musicals, I really do. I grew up doing them, so it'll always
have a place in my heart. At the same time, it's nice to be able to separate the
two and just be able to focus on films. It's a lot of fun playing different
characters and taking on new journeys."

And also she added to MTV News: "Honestly, I'm kind of taking a break from music
right now. I'm just focusing on films and acting. I feel like when I'm doing
something I really want, I focus on that and try to not spread myself all over
the place."

Vanessa Hudgens is currently filming her first non-musical role in "Beastly".
