L.A. actors shooting new comedy in West Seattle

 

Robin Williams came to Ballard. Aaron Eckhart hung out at Pike Place. Now a mix of Hollywood and local actors are in West Seattle, putting together a movie described as a "screwball comedy -- with a twist."

West Seattle Blog is updating readers on the filming of "The Whole Truth," which the authors first heard about last week and is today shooting in Lincoln Park.

The movie is directed by Seattle filmmaker Collen Patrick and stars Elisabeth Röhm, Eric Roberts, Sean Patrick Flanery and John Fugelsang -- along with Seattle actress Pisay Pao and others, according to its Web site.

Its story sounds fun. Röhm, a veteran of "Law and Order," plays an acting coach who specializes in training criminals to play nice to juries, and is then targeted by a homicidal former client. Writer/director Patrick doubles as an acting coach. Hopefully that's where the biographical connections end.

Patrick has been posting updates on the shoot on her blog, Wassup! Other than they're in Seattle, she gives few details on the crew's location.

But West Seattle Blog tracked them down to Lincoln Park this morning, and has some good pictures.

When the script was finished back in April, Patrick wrote:

I've been drumming up good will around Seattle, telling people I'll be shooting a fun feature this fall in case they want to help us out, since we'll need lots of extras for a couple scenes, and we want real Seattle-ites mixing it up with actors so it's fun for the whole city.
