Solid list, nothing to be ashamed of at all!
It could still use a Nurse Jennifer, Jeff, Brian Fate, Chief Henry or any of
Lisa's dates (Darren or Bryan). I would also have included myself, Melvin
Nerdly, and Becky the duck.
And any time I hear about someone taking a test, I always see Mr. Testaverde
singing "F, F, F, you're both getting an F!"

Melvin,
Solid recommendations, and, for the record, Nurse Jennifer was HOT…..Just don't
tell her professional wrestling boyfriend that!!!

I don't know, but it seemed like Zack was REALLY out of character in that
episode falling for that nurse and giving Kelly the could shoulder when it came
to going steady.

That was one episode that definitely pushed the boundaries regarding what was
"appropriate" for this type of Saturday AM show.
I'd argue that Close Encounters of the Nerd Kind was far worse. Completely
ridiculous, too cheesey even for a SBTB episode, and mostly unfunny from start
to finish.
I'd also argue that Drinking and Driving as well as Class Rings were worse.

I actually liked this episode, I thought it was funny and hell the nurse was
hot.

That was an okay eppy, but Zach even LOOKED out of character in this one.
As the world falls down...for you...
Dear fans,
As many of you know, the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show has been trying to
reunite the cast of "Saved by the Bell" since earlier this year to celebrate the
show's 20th anniversary. Because of their efforts, we were able to relive and
create new SBTB moments like Mark-Paul Gosselaar recreating his infamous "Zack"
character and Mario Lopez demanding a reunion by acting out his old lines as
Slater. Just priceless new memories for any BELL fan!
But as of late last night, Dennis Haskins announced the idea of a reunion has
been scrapped on his official Twitter page
(http://www.twitter.com/dennis_haskins). He wanted to thank the fans for their
support and efforts. I don't know about you, but I was really disappointed when
I read that.
And on the official Late Night with Jimmy show website the online petition has
been removed.
No official reason(s) have been released to explain the sudden cancelation of
the cast reuniting on Jimmy Fallon's show.
But, we have to be extremely grateful to Jimmy Fallon, his show, and our beloved
cast members, Mark-Paul, Elizabeth, Mario, Lark, Dennis, and Tiffani. Tiffani
didn't officially agree for a reunion on Jimmy's show, but she has said time and
time again how really excited she is about people still crazy for SBTB in many
interviews. She even worked with Funny or Die.com to create a hysterical video
poking fun of the obnoxious rumors that "she was too busy" to reunite with the
cast! So, she was bound to be a part of it eventually.
At least People Magazine came through for us and did the best they could to give
us what we wanted.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this a surprise to you? Will we ever have a
full reunion show? Did Dustin's refusal to attend play a big part? Was it a
scheduling problem? Or lack of quality ideas from the staff/writers from LNWJF
show?
Let us know!!! Head on to forum to share your answers to some of these
questions! Or tweet in your ideas at http://www.twitter.com/sbtbnow
For up to date information all the time about the show and cast members,
Twitter.com/sbtbnow is the best way to keep up with the show!
Thank you for your support!!!!
SBTB FOREVER,
Erika

Dustin Diamond's "Saved by the Bell" tell-all book claims, among other things,
that Mark-Paul Gosselaar used steroids before "The College Years." "He suddenly
exploded with manliness, loading 25 pounds of muscle on his once-scrawny frame
in, oh, about a month," says Diamond, who is not in touch with any of his
costars. Gosselaar's reponse: "We weren't in rehab and Mr. Belding wasn't my
crack dealer."

Saved By The Bell 20th Aniversary Thread
« Thread Started Today at 7:38am »

That's right, it was 20 years ago today that Saved By The Bell premiered on NBC.
Sure, it really began as "Good Morning Miss Bliss" but that was a show centered
around Hayley Mills, it was retooled and began its classic Saturday morning run
on this day.
God, Lisa was cute!

You have to love a show that gave us Tiffani Amber Thiessen and Elizabeth
Berkley.
Yeah I loved Saved by the Bell.

Its amazing these days to hear that a show was "retooled"
If this show was on NBC today GM Miss Bliss would have been cancelled after
about 3 episodes.

This is the only season where I have the complete series on DVD except for Miss
Bliss which wasn't released on DVD at least yet.
Is there any news on the reunion for Jimmy Fallon's talk show? I know they did
the People magazine thing but man would I love to see a full in character
reunion. That thing with Mark Paul doing Zack Morris on Fallon about a month ago
was great.

I think it would be great if for Fallon's On Air reunion if instead of having
the predictable Zack, Kelley, Lisa, Jesse, Slater, Screech Mr. Belding they just
had Hayley Mills, Elizabeth Berkley, and Leanna Creel. So you have people from
the Saved By The Bell universe who had absolutely no interaction with each other
at all so there are just some ackward introductions.

You wanna see some retooling of a show. Not only was it retooled between GMMB
and SBTB. It was dramatically retooled between the GMMB pilot and what the 13
episode series became. Brian Austin Green, Jaleel White and Johnathan Brandis
were the students. The Indianapolis Colts were bad, Someone else played Mr.
Belding ( ) Miss Bliss was married! And Hayley Mills was the only actor who
survived the pilot
Part 1: Complete with horrible theme song
Part 2: Grade School?
Part 3: Oh Miss Bliss, you and your dedication to the kids that your corporate
drone of a husband (husband!?) can't seem to understand. Ahh! 80's pop culture
referrences. I kind of wish Michael's deceased older brother was named Johnny
instead of Billy just so they could shoe horn the phrase "Johnny was a good man"
into his essay.

I've been a fan of the show since it's original run on NBC, it's syndication
days on Channel 11 and then TBS in the mornings, I've watched every episode
multiple times and can probably answer any trivia question.

It's a shame that Jaleel White didn't survive the pilot, he might have avoided
Urkle and typcasting and possibly still had some work.
The canned laughter was more annoying than the theme song IMO.
The transitions between really deep emional stuff and happy funny stuff was off
putting (pt 1 when she first talks to Micheal she's sad, her friend comes in and
it's like that conversation that just happened didn't)
Belding was off putting
And I didn't know NBC had it before Disney

Saved By The Bell was good. It be nice to see the cast reunite even if its on
Jimmy Fallon's talk show.
As for Good Morning, Miss Bliss maybe Shout Factory can get the rights to it and
release it on DVD someday.

One of the shows that I grew up on.
I have them all on dvd and they never get old.
Loved the one where Zack and Slater kidnapped the russian kid and then zack
dressed up as the russian and then forfeited the chess game after 1 move

The theme used for the main run of GMMB is muuuuch better than the one from the
piloot and, dare I say, ALMOST better than the SBTB theme.

I have seen every episode about 700 times. Great show.
Although, I can't stand the Tori episodes. They just should have had Lisa and
the three guys together, and randomly have new girls featured in every episode
not featuring Kelly/Jessie. Tori was painfully bad, and the fact that Zack had
to fall for her was even worse.
Hi everyone!
Would you wear a SBTB:NOW! fan t-shirt? Ideas are running through my mind. And I
have a way to get these made. But I need your feedback. Please send in your
thoughts!
Also, what would you want the shirts to read? If you can think of anything
clever, funny, or catchy, please send in your ideas, as well!
I would love your feedback! I know I can count on you guys!
Hope to hear from you soon. And if you haven't stopped by the forum, now is a
great time. The forum has a new look, too! enjoy!

Dear Miss Valen,
Well, I don't know how to properly articulate this. I hope that you don't just
case what I'm about to say aside, because I'm a stranger, or a nobody trolling
around Facebook. I just want to take the chance that I have to say that you're
one of my favorite actresses in the entire world. No, I'm being very, very
serious.
I don't mean to embarrass you, creep you out (like any other so called obsessed
fan may do to a person), or make you feel uncomfortable. But I believe that I've
had the biggest crush on you ever since I saw you guest star as the school
nurse, Jennifer on "Saved by the Bell" (the second season episode entitled "From
Nurse to Worse").
You simply have the most beautiful, most heart warming smile that I've ever seen
on a woman. So clearly, I can relate to what Zack Morris was going through in
that episode (even though, he was kind of going through a dilemma). Nurse
Jennifer was not only very beautiful, buy also kind and personable, very bubbly,
and cunning (especially in the climax between your character and Zack Morris).
I also love your hair in that "Saved by the Bell" episode. You're absolutely so
sexy (in a classy, dignified sort of way) when you're wearing it in tight, updo
while pulling that prank on Zack (by acting like you're coming on to him). My
heart races just thinking about the moment that you slowly remove your white,
medical coat, let out a deep sigh, and proceed to let your hair down.
You are such a beautiful lady, my heart can't really take it. I love it when you
make a cute puppy dog type face towards Zack when you tell him how you can't
stop thinking about him. And those legs, oh my God!!! I also love how your
shaply gams were encased in that dark hoisery in the episode.
I just want to tell you again, that I've been in love with you ever since I was
a little kid watching that episode (I hate to make it sound like you're old). If
you don't want me around on Facebook, then I guess that's life.
Sincerely,
Terrence M. Clay

I, like many other people, grew up watching Saved By The Bell.
Throughout my grade school years, my after-school activities consisted of
plopping down on my couch between the hours of 5:05 and 6:05 so that I could
spend an hour watching the wacky antics of the Bayside crew on TBS.
To me, as a young kid anxiously awaiting the adventure that was High School,
Saved By The Bell wasn't just a witty show that kept me from doing homework one
hour a night, it was my future.
You see, I was convinced that Saved By The Bell was an accurate representation
of what High School was like, and I was thoroughly convinced that when I
graduated from the 8th grade and made my way into the wondrous four years that
are High School, my time was going to be filled up with just as many wacky
antics and memories as Zack, Kelly, Screech, AC, and to a lesser extent, Tori.
Boy, was I wrong.
In many ways Saved By The Bell ruined my High School experience, as it set my
standards for High School awesomeness so unrealistically high that there was no
possible way anything was going to meet and/or exceed it.
For example, thanks to Saved By The Bell I was of the belief that class in High
School was optional, a fact that I found out the hard way wasn't the case.
I figured I was justified in having that belief, because the cast from Saved By
The Bell seemed to only go to class when they felt like it, and on the occasions
they did attend they could leave whenever they saw fit. It wasn't uncommon for
Zack to storm out of Mr. Dewey's math class after having some sort of argument
with Kelly, or for Jesse to march out of Mrs. Culpepper's art class after she
was insulted that Slater called her "babe".
Little did she know that in a few years she was gonna' be in Showgirls; oh the
irony.
Anyways, thanks to those examples I thought that that's what High School
students could do; I figured they could get up and leave class whenever they
felt like it, but I found out the hard way that wasn't the case.
There were many occasions throughout High School where I attempted to walk out
of my Chemistry, Biology, and even my History class, and I was glared at by the
teachers. They then instructed me to sit down, and threatened me with a
detention. When I retorted with, "But Jesse Spano does it !!!." I was given a
condescending glare which was soon followed with a headshake of disappointment.
I also thought that all High School students had access to an awesome diner like
The Max, where your lunch is served by a magician who eerily resembles the
Verizon Guy. Sadly that wasn't the case.
No matter how hard I tried I could never find a diner in the general vicinity of
my High School that served burgers and fries while performing magic acts, and
whenever I walked into a McDonalds and asked the cashier to entertain me with a
card trick, they normally just stared at me with a confused look.
I'm not sure if that's because they thought my request was odd, or because most
cashiers at McDonalds don't speak English; whatever the case may be, I never had
a burger served to me in High School by a dude who could pull a rabbit out of
his hat.
Granted the idea of eating a burger served by a guy who regularly manhandles
small animals seems rather unsanitary, but the awesomeness would be there, and
that's all I look for when eating ... awesomeness.
I was also greatly disappointed at my Principal in High School, as Saved By The
Bell made me believe that my Principal would be a guy who I could joke around
with and make fun of. I longed to have a witty banter with my Principal in the
same way Zack did with Mr. Belding; to me that would be extremely cool, but it
never came to fruition.
I envisioned myself making fun of my Principal's bald spot, or highly evident
lack of fashion sense. I assumed he'd retort with a joke that nobody found
funny, but would cause him to laugh uncontrollably to himself before walking
away. I figured my principal would see me as a "bad boy with a good side", and
even though I'd push his buttons on a regular basis he'd treat me like his son
because he saw something in me; that never happened, as my Principal was a
prick.
If I went up to my Principal and insulted his receding hairline, he'd normally
give me a detention. If I insulted his corduroy jacket, he'd send a letter home
to my parents, and when I once proposed that my Principal should have his much
younger and cooler brother organize a white water rafting trip for the school,
he stared at me as if I had two heads before informing me he was an only child.
Little did he know that if he agreed to the last request, his cooler younger
brother would ditch his responsibility of the rafting trip, thus allowing him to
be the hero by taking us anyways.
Another missed opportunity by a school administrator.
Also, no matter how hard I tried I could never master the mannerisms made famous
by the cast of Saved By The Bell.
I regularly walked up to people who couldn't open their locker, and proceeded to
punch it in the same manner Slater regularly did; I assumed that if I punched
the locker hard enough, it would pop open, and in doing so I'd look like the
cool jock who was the 90's version of the Fonz. Sadly, no matter how many times
I punched the locker I could never get it to open, and instead of being the cool
guy who could open lockers with his fist, I became the guy with the bruised hand
who regularly had to explain to his parents why they had to pay for damage to
school property.
Surprisingly, dented lockers are pretty darn expensive to fix.
Then there was Zack Morris' infamous "Time Outs".
I can't express to you how much I wanted to be able to put my hands together in
the form of a "T" and have the world stop around me so that I could break the
fourth wall and narrate my thoughts to the studio audience; sadly, that never
came to fruition.
I was very perseverent with my attempts at making time stop; I tried pausing
time in this manner at school dances, and it led to girls staying away from me.
I tried it in hallways in between class, and ended up being trampled on by
members of the football team. Once I tried doing it during a basketball game,
and I ended up getting ejected for interfering with the action on the court;
apparently referees frown upon people who aren't on the team yelling "Time Out"
from the stands.
I'm pretty sure I could have been damn entertaining narrating my thoughts while
everyone around me stood in one place, as when I was in High School I had some
pretty interesting things to say. I could have talked about how I was going to
seduce that cute girl who was staring at me during the football game, or I could
have run through the details of my lofty plan to teach the High School bully a
lesson; unfortunately I never got to do that, and instead I looked like the
strange kid who liked making hand signals while talking to himself.
Honestly, my High School years sucked in comparison to the crew at Bayside.
My school didn't have a water polo team, nor was it built over the top of oil
that would soon destroy a pond filled with cute ducks. I didn't spend my
Christmastime working in a mall where I learned the true meaning of the season
by hanging out with the daughter of a homeless man; a man, who for some reason,
the mall never kicked out of the building despite the fact that all he did was
walk around the stores asking for pieces of scrap wrapping paper.
I didn't spend my summers at the Malibu Sands with Mr. Kerose and his daughter;
instead I spent my summers working at KFC, with a bunch of angry middle aged
women who spent their time scooping mashed potatoes into environmentally
unfriendly styrofoam containers.
No matter how hard I tried, I was never as cool as Zack. My nickname was never
"Steam Up The Windows", and no matter how hard I tried to convince Yale, they
wouldn't let me in like they did him, even though I slacked off for four years
before scoring really high on the SATS.
I wasn't a prominent entrepreneur like the kids at Bayside either. I never sold
anti-acne cream that turned people's faces maroon, and I never came up with the
idea for Buddy Bands, even though I'm convinced I could have made a fortune off
of it.
Football players in my High School never showed off their midriff while wearing
their jerseys on gameday, and I never dressed in drag to go on a date with my
nerdy and socially awkward best friend. I never once got hopped up on caffeine
pills, my parents never bought me a poster from a Peter, Paul, and Mary concert,
and I never had a friend who came over my house by climbing through my bedroom
window.
The one time I tried to do that, my friend's Dad called the cops on me;
apparently that's "breaking and entering".
Nope my High School years weren't cool at all, all I got to do was wake up, go
to class, get turned down by every girl I tried to flirt with, and get mediocre
grades before praying that I got into my safety school come College acceptance
time.
Maybe my High School years would have been better had I never seen Saved By The
Bell, as my expectations would have been a little more realistic. Honestly
though, I highly doubt that's the case, because if I never saw Saved By The Bell
I'd have been deprived of one of the most awesome theme songs in the history of
television …
You know you're gonna' have it in your head for the rest of the day.

Thiessen Holds Up Reunion
Quote:Tiffany Thiessen is scuppering plans for a full-cast reunion of TV show
Saved By The Bell, according to reports.
U.S. talk show host Jimmy Fallon has launched a campaign to reunite the
characters from the iconic 1990s kids show.
He has so far convinced Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dennis Haskins and Mario Lopez -
but has hit a stumbling block over Thiessen, who went on to star in Beverly
Hills 90210.
A source tells Us Weekly, "In her mind, a reunion would remind audiences she
hasn't done anything for years. We're trying to get her to do it because it
would actually be great for her career."

Even if Tiffani gets on board, it still won't happen just because Screech wants
nothing to do with the one thing that people would give a damn about him for.

Dustin Diamond won't do it because he probably doesn't have the balls to step in

them in his crappy stand up act.

LOL, that would be awesome. Although quite depressing for a reunion show. Maybe
they can say Screech became an astronaut and is in space.

I'm kind of surprised Gosselaar agreed to it being the only one with stuff going

it'll ever happen.

Mario Lopez has EXTRA and Elizabeth Berkley pops up on CSI:DAVID CARUSSO every
now and then.
If we're doing an actual show rather than a roundtable thing, Screech should be
in death row for killing Kelly (if Theissan no shows)

Can you imagine if Screech was being interrogated about Kelly's death, and he
snaps, and points his finger at the officer, and then the detective says "Get
that away from me, no telling where it's been!"

LOL, that would be awesome. Although quite depressing for a reunion show. Maybe
they can say Screech became an astronaut and is in space.
Good continuity!

How far is Bayside from San Fransisco? Might have a different outcome

They need Johnny Dakota to show up and try to peddle reefer.
Zack: Johnny, we're not teens anymore.
Johnny: I need the money, man. I lost my house. I was banking on that anti-drug
PSA we were gonna shoot.

Saved by the Bell... the New Class
« Thread Started Today at 10:18pm »
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I Netflixed the first season. It's awful. It's like someone tried to make a
parody of the original series.... but I can't stop watching. It's like an
abusive realtionship: I know it's bad and will probably hurt me, but I can't
stop.
Any thoughts on the bastard child of Saved by the Bell?

The original series was a delightfully terrible show. This was a terrible show
without much delight.

Ah yes, the new class. I remember this abomination. I also remember they
advertised it on a cereal box before it was officially on TV. I looked at the
cast and thought are they serious? Even as a boy I knew that characters like
Weasel were just a sad attempt to recapture the old class. I remember they
brought the actual Screech in after a few seasons as Belding's assistant but by
then, eh why even bother.

It was bad. Got better in the second season I thought but that's arguable I will
agree. After that it was terrible mostly. I did like the character Vickie but I
hated Weasal and Tommy D. I liked the additions of Brian, Bobby and Rachel in
the second season but it was the start of Belding and Screech having jobs
wherever the kids were, at the mall, at the beach, etc.

I remember how they kept changing the cast each season. Don't know why. It's not
like a new cast is going to improve the crappy scripts they kept chugging out
each year.

If it really was any good or popular it would be in syndication and it never has
been expect when it was on the USA network for a short while. Meanwhile the
original SBTB is still on from 7-9 am on TBS and its been there for a long time.

Ever since the return of Zack Morris on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," the
"Saved by the Bell" reminiscing hasn't stopped. Bayside was a factory of `90s
fashion, and may be the only place where denim-on-denim will ever remain
respected (sort of). With her neon scrunchies and flowered denim outfits,
it-girl Kelly Kapowski influenced a generation of young girls. You can still get
her hot look, which, if you're lucky, might land you your own Zack (swoon!).
Mixing florals with a graphic design gives off that funky flair. [$17.99,
Charlotte Russe]
This denim vest is slightly OTT, so rock it with Kapowski confidence. [$248,
William Rast, RevolveClothing.com]
These flower-print sneaks are scarily close to the ones we wore in `92. [$20,
Cabbage Rose, Urban Outfitters]
Kelly lived in denim minis. Easy to see why when one like this would show off
your hot legs. [$19.80, Forever 21]
