Caitlins way is on at 8:00 tonight it is usually on at
9:30 on Sat and 5:00 on Sunday and 8:00 on Sunday but
there is a Rugrat marathon going on so it was not on
Sat. or Sunday at 5:00.

It is on at 8:00 tonight. I am not sure if it is a new
episode but i think it is.

I think that all the episodes are the same all
weekend. I could be wrong.  But i do know that sat.
and Sunday's at 5:00 are the same but i am not sure
that the 8:00 one is the same it could be repeats not
sure.

So if you get discouraged cuz you missed Sat episode
don't worry cuz it is on at 5:00 on Sundays and 8:00

International Children's Film Festival (BICFF) will
kick off a week of stellar original family programming

American-Film-Market-for-kids, BICFF will showcase 12
world premieres; unspool original family films from
destinations as diverse

eleven-year-old pair); and offer 75 industry related
activities,

Among the films shown will be ``The First of May,''

Him Home,'' with Ed Asner and Sharon Gless;
``Undercover Angel,'' with Yasmine Bleeth, James Earl

Nickelodeon's ``Kaitlin's Way'' with Lindsay Felton,

Screenwriter Robin Swicord (``Little Women'') will
give a keynote speech ``Respecting Children Through
Writing.'' Notably, the By Kids, For Kids category of
films features hands-on fun and training workshops and
an open casting call. These workshops, along with
selected films from the festival, will stream
worldwide on www.burbankfilm.org. Festival organizers
aim to give global audience access and a chance for
young
filmmakers to connect.

During the black tie Awards Gala on closing night,
Spider Man/X-Men co-creator and comic book legend Stan
Lee will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement
award along with the industry's much-lauded children's
entertainment advocate Jean MacCurdy, President,
Animation, Warner Bros.

Executive Director Chris Shoemaker, a longtime maker
of family and children's entertainment, joined a Board
of Directors drawn from Warner Bros., Nickelodeon,
BKN, NBC and other industry insiders to create the
first annual Burbank International Children's Film
Festival as a way to provide a venue for product that
might
otherwise remain unseen by the public. Mr. Shoemaker

Lindsay's no ordinary kid

Young Lindsay Felton has been discovering the natural wonders of Canada.

Our majestic mountains, crystal rivers, teen pop band The Moffatts ...

"I'm in love with them. I was glad to come up here and see them. They're
a lot bigger here," Lindsay notes.

The 14-year-old arrived from L.A. in June to star in Just a Kid, a
continuing series for the U.S. cable network Nickelodeon.

It debuts on YTV in November.

Lindsay took a break from filming near High River and Longview to attend
a Stampede performance by B.C.'s gift to boy bands.

"That was the first thing I did (at the Stampede). It was really fun. I
met them before at a Nickelodeon thing."

Just a Kid follows the trials and tribulations of a troubled
Philadelphia teen who finds  herself living with distant relatives on a
Montana ranch.

"We've done lots of fun things. I get attacked by a wolf in this episode
which is always very exciting," Lindsay says.

"They always have something new."

Lindsay has grown up thus far in Seattle and L.A., so she's in a
situation parallel to that of her character Caitlin.

"It's pretty ... pretty different. But the people there are very nice,
so I enjoy being there."

Even a veteran of projects like the ABC series Thunder Alley and the
third 3 Ninjas sequel is prone to slight homesickness.

"I miss not having to drive 40 minutes to go to a mall," she admits.

Canadian actress Cynthia Belliveau was in California, too, after four
seasons starring on E.N.G. and three on Wind at My Back.

"I get finally get an American series and -- honestly? -- when they
said, 'Calgary,' I was horrified," she chuckles.

Belliveau reconsidered the role of the veterinarian cousin Caitlin moves
in with at the urging of her boyfriend, Rex Linn.

Linn shot The Jack Bull with John Cusack here last year.

"He raved about it and I was like, 'Calgary?!?' I was so ignorant; I had
a whole other vision of this place in my mind."

She has since been converted.

"I love it, I love it!" she says of country life.

During the production, Belliveau has been staying in a log cabin on a
ranch and getting regular tutorials on how to play a vet.

"I've got horses that run around. I have a big cinnamon bear that walks
through my yard. Packs of coyotes. I came home the other day and there
was a buck and a doe in my yard," she reports.

"I have a squirrel named Hitchcock who comes into the house. It's
great."

Or maybe she's gone past veterinarian into Dr. Dolittle territory.
Belliveau almost sounds anxious to see cougars in the area.

There is no misinterpreting her excitement, though, about her beau being
cast in Crossfire Trail, a coming Tom Selleck movie.

"He's going to be here for six weeks shooting that. Can you believe that
kind of luck!"

But wait -- coincidences abound on the ranch-house set of Just a Kid.
Just ask Ken Tremblett, the Vancouver-based actor who plays Belliveau's
husband, Sheriff Jim Lowe.

"My father is also a police officer and his name is Jim," says
Tremblett, who can also been seen this winter in The Guilty with Bill
Pullman and an episode of First Wave.

Like his own father, Tremblett sees Jim as a stable, reliable presence
in the remodelled family of himself, his wife Dori, newcomer Caitlin and
their own son, Griffen.

"I think he's the calm in the storm here at the Lowe ranch," Tremblett
says.

"This Jim has unending patience, whereas I think real parents -- their
fuse isn't that long," he says, recalling his own childhood.

"My father had The Look or would just stomp on the floor. I haven't seen
this Jim do that yet. Griffen's a good kid. Caitlin, on the other hand,
is a project. He's got to keep working on her."

The ongoing Caitlin project is what attracted producer Helene White to
Just a Kid.

"I like the values in the series -- basically learning to live in our
society," White says.

"You can still make your own path, but it's learning how to make that
path."

The Calgary-based filmmaker is familiar with the target audience of Just
a Kid. White produced the long-running teen issues show Connecting.

"That gave me sort of an insight into doing it because so many of the
teenagers on the program were teenagers who were troubled," White says.

Her experience with local film talent was also invaluable. All of the
Just a Kid writers are Canadian, only two of the leads have been
imported and White can only think of one American crew member.

"I was interested in it because they were willing to do that. (Crews)
came to us even though we're low-budget because they wanted that
opportunity which they wouldn't get on the big shows."

Caitlin on her way
YTV series starts shooting second season in Calgary

It was with no small amount of pleasure Helene White evicted a family
from their home.

A second season of Caitlin's Way was given the greenlight last month and
a primary location for the YTV adventure series is Tom and Rosemary
Bews' beautiful ranch west of Longview.

"I think there was some mixed feelings, but they've been very gracious
about it," Way producer White said.

Caitlin's Way stars Lindsay Felton as a troubled city teen who is sent
to live with distant relatives in rural Alberta. (Or rural Montana, if
you're watching the series on the U.S. network Nickelodeon.)

Just as viewers can see Caitlin adjusting to her new situation Thursdays
at 7:30 and 11:30 p.m. and Sundays at 8 p.m. on U, it is apparent Felton
has adjusted to working away from her home in L.A.

"It was hard in the beginning, but I now have friends here I look
forward to seeing and I miss when I'm in L.A.," the show's 15 year-old
lead said. "I'm still missing my friends there, but this has become a
second home."

A crew of more than 85 Canadians has been making itself at home in High
River, where the majority of Way's 26 episodes will film through
November.

"We've taken over an old RCMP building and are creating some studio sets
there," said White.

"We have a sheriff's office in there, we set up two school rooms and a
corridor. A lot of action takes place in the school's hallway, of
course."

Caitlin's Way has a way with action. The show has had its stars riding
horses, rapids, bikes and, in the case of a scene shot in Calgary
yesterday, skateboards. There's more to come this winter.

"Big and better, the kids love it," producer Jana Veverka said. "We have
a lot of action but we also have great dramatic stories. People come
back not to see a BMX race but to see our characters involved in a
situation."

Situations facing Caitlin Seeger and her cousin, Griffen Lowe (Jeremy
Foley), will include getting jobs and love interests for both.

"We touched on it last year. Dating is a part of a teenager's life and
we always try to reflect reality," White said.

Veverka said the angst will be spread around the new storylines, as
well. "Griffen has always been happy and secure, now we're going to give
him an identity crisis," she said.

Vevenka also wants to showcase some of Caitlin Way's peripheral
performers.

The first episode filmed this year has Caitlin visiting the city with
some of her schoolmates.

"Which I like because the city is cool," said Felton. "Caitlin wants to
go to a photography exhibit...  Eric (Brendan Fletcher) and Brett
(Stephen Warner) have to buy a new amp for their band."

Calgarian Warner auditioned for a small role last season as a favour to
a friend of the family.

"She said I'd be in it for probably about two episodes. I ended up
staying for the whole season," said Warner, who graduated last week from
Dr. E.P. Scarlett high school. "It's unreal. I'd love to go places with
it, but if I don't, this has been an amazing opportunity for me."

Caitlin's Way attracted 6.5 million viewers in the U.S. alone when it
debuted in March. Caitlin's Way also airs in such foreign markets as
Germany, Brazil and Australia.

"People know who I am in the States. There are little kids who will
whisper to their parents," Felton said.

She noted with a laugh: "None of them come up and talk to me because
Caitlin's not very warm and friendly."

Still, fame does have certain benefits. Through Nickelodeon's programs
and events, Felton has met such stars as Will Smith, 'N Sync and
Shaquille O'Neal.

Warner, 17, says he has no problems being labelled a teen star if it
means he can continue acting. "I'd love it. One of my dreams is to walk
through a mall and have a girl ask me to sign my picture in her
magazine."

Producer Helene White was busy in 1999.

She helped lure a new series for the U.S. Nickelodeon network called
Stray Dog to southern Alberta, filmed

Just a Kid here and is the producer of Caitlin's Way, debuting on YTV
tonight.

Actually, all three were the same series.

It had its name changed twice before the final product could air on U at
7:30 p.m.

"That's a network thing. They do these focus groups, you know," White
explains.

"We had T-shirts made up for the crew with Stray Dog crossed out, Just a
Kid crossed out ... Anyway, the last we heard they were using Just a Kid
internationally."

Whatever the title, Caitlin's Way is still the story of a troubled
orphan who is sent from Philadelphia to live with distant relatives in
rural Montana.

Canadian actors Cynthia Belliveau and Ken Tremblett star as the Lowes, a
vet and sheriff respectively, who take in the strong-willed teenager.
Lindsay Felton stars as the title character.

"She was only 14 when she came on, but she's really quite a pro," says
White. "She was under a lot of pressure, she was away from her home and
her friends in L.A. for all those months and I was very impressed."

Unlike many Canadian series, Caitlin's Way received a full order for 26
episodes. Tonight's 1*-hour movie and 23 weekly 30-minute instalments
were shot in and around High River between June and December.

Production featured Canadian writers and a predominantly domestic crew,
but White notes the U.S. backers still kept a close eye on their series
shooting across the border.

"It was really interesting," White says of dealing with Nickelodeon.
"They're demanding, but they know their market. They have a strong
mandate in terms of content."

The network built a following among American kids over the years with
lighter fare such as Rugrats and Ren & Stimpy. Caitlin's Way, on the
other hand, is a drama dealing with issues such as personal
responsibility, trust, peer pressure and teen dating.

"It's a departure for Nickelodeon. It has some controversial content,"
White says.

Caitlin's Way does have moments of comedy and action. The kids of "High
River, Montana" play hockey, mountain bike and engage in the usual
pastimes with kid-appeal. The parents have their own adventures, too.
Tonight's premiere movie, for instance, has Sheriff Lowe tracking a
rabid wolf and on the trail of two cattle rustlers.

These bad guys are far from menacing, however, as played by comedic
actors Dave Thomas and Andy Dick.

"They were lots of fun. They were crazy," White says.

Felton spent the shoot campaigning for more guest stars -- namely The
Moffatts. One of her favourite bands just happened to move to the area
last year.

"Never convinced us," White laughs, "but she tried!

I don't know. We might not be able to afford them."

Felton got a heck of a consolation prize, mind you.

"They had dinner one night. She was thrilled. I'll tell you, there was
no way she was working any overtime that night."

Hey, guys!  I'm getting sick of joining rpgs, and then finding that
no one posts.  So I've decided to start my own rpg, and I'm looking

The following is the description:

A buffy rpg that begins in the 3rd season.   Anything goes!   We DO
NOT have to follow Joss's script.   Anyone can be with anyone, and
anything can happen.   The only thing that MUST stay the same is that
