The LAProducer Yahoo group is a private email forum designed to act as a networking utility for staff and freelance Los Angeles based entertainment industry professionals with verifiable job titles including:

-Executive Producer, Producer, Coordinating Producer, Line Producer, Associate Producer, Field or Segment Producer, Production Supervisor, UPM or Production Manager, Production Coordinator, Post Supervisor.

LAProducer members are involved in Development, Prep, Shoot and/or Wrap and Post activities in Television, Features, Commercials, Music Videos, or Digital Media, etc.

Certain other Key Department heads are selectively allowed to participate so as to get expert advice on special topics like Cinematography, Location Management, Casting and Post Production.

On this list you can exchange information, help and get help, connect with colleagues; you’ll be able to find hard to get equipment, discuss vendors or crew, make recommendations and get referrals to assist you in your production. It is OK to use this forum both to fill job slots that know of and to prudently promote yourself. When used wisely you will surely make some new professional high quality industry friends too.

The group is open to all professional production personnel in or serving the LA area. And don’t worry, no actors, set crew or vendors will be allowed in this forum except on rare and selected occasions. This e-list is a power tool in which you get out of it what you put into it.
