You have got to hear this song...(attachment) The song you are about
to listen to is from a Las Vegas Diamond Rio concert. They received an
immediate resounding standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it!
Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered' incorrect'.
Consequently, the song was never released to the public. So America , see what you think. If this
offering speaks to your heart and you feel you want to share it with friends and
loved ones, please do.

A HUGE AMEN TO THIS MESSAGE

Remarks from CBS Sunday Morning - Ben Stein

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday  Morning  Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish.  And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.  I don't feel threatened.  I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me.  I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto.  In fact, I kind of like it
.  It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu .  If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians.  I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period.  I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country.  I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him?  I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too.  But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different:  This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina)...  Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response.  She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.  And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out.  How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events... Terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.  I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.  Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school.  The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself.  And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide).  We said an expert should know what he's talking about.  And we said okay.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out.  I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.  Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.  Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.  Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit.

If not, then just discard it... No one will know you did.  But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My Best Regards,  Honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein

Hi all,

Sorry to "forward" another email but this one is very close to my heart.  Some of you have met Laura but for those who haven't, she was my boss of five years up until Kate was born.  I worked with her very closely in a small company so we got to know each other very well.  She is a great person (understatement!) and I have no doubt would be a wonderful mother (again, understatement!).  If you or anyone you know might help in her quest, please feel free to contact her or me.

Thanks so much, Victoria

Subject: I need your help to fulfill a dream

Dear friends and family,

I am writing you to ask for your help.  This will probably be a little surprising to many of you, but for a long time I have wanted to become a mother more than anything!  I know this may not be the typical order of things, and although I am single, I am very ready to be a mom.  I have gone through fertility treatments for over a year, and have not been able to get pregnant and carry a baby.  This has not deterred me from my dream.  It has just changed the course I will take to get there. I know this dream will come true and I am hopeful you can help me achieve it.

I hope to adopt a baby domestically.  The home study by my adoption caseworker will be complete in the next few weeks.  I am asking for your help in locating a birth mother who has an adoption plan for her baby.  I am looking to adopt a healthy Caucasian newborn.  I am willing to travel to any state for the delivery of this baby. I am also working with adoption agencies, but the wait times can be extremely long, especially for a single mother.

A little more about me in case you have been forwarded this letter and you do not know me personally.  I was raised outside Chicago and moved to Atlanta 18 years ago to attend Emory University.  I currently live in Atlanta and own a gourmet food and gift basket company.  I come from an extremely loving, nurturing and supportive family and I look forward to the day I can create my own family.  My parents, brothers and sisters-in-law are very supportive of my decision to adopt, and they cannot wait to shower a baby with love.  In addition to my wonderful family, I have a huge group of amazing friends in Atlanta and around the country. I know they too will welcome this baby with open arms.

Here is where you come in.  I need your help in spreading the word to everyone you know who may come in contact with a prospective birth mother.  Adoption situations can arise from some of the most unexpected and amazing places.  Therefore, the more people who know of my situation, the more likely it is that I will find a birth mother.  You never know who might know someone who has made an adoption plan for their unborn child.  Please pass this along to anyone you know including your friends, family, minister, priest, rabbi, high school counselor, OBGYN, pediatrician, therapist or lawyer.  Also, please forward to anyone who may work or interact with high school or college students.

Please tell them that you know of a loving, strong and nurturing woman who wants to adopt an infant.  I know we all tire of forwarded emails, but I would greatly appreciate your sending this to as many people as possible.  Your involvement will enhance my chances of fulfilling my dream and giving a child a wonderful home.  You just never know who might know someone pregnant with a baby that is meant to grow up as my son or daughter.

I can not thank you enough for all of your love and support.   I am so excited at the prospect of finding a baby who needs a safe and wonderful home.  If you have any questions, please contact me anytime.   I so appreciate any help in my journey to become a mother.

Warm Regards,
Laura Weiss

 IN GOD WE TRUST

You must read this.......a proper decision by the courts..........for a change.
FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY
In Florida, an atheist created a case against the Upcoming Easter and Passover days.  He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days. The case was brought before a judge.  After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring,"Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the Ruling , "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case?  The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others.  The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and  Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays.."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do.  Your
client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day.  Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool.  Therefore, April 1st is his day..  Court is adjourned.

You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

This is too good not to forward.

Check out this not-surprising-at-all facts -considering the idiots in congress!  Some of you may not be seniors but you vote.......send it on. !!

Well now, how about this?

2010 COST OF LIVING ALLOWANCE [ COLA ] ADJUSTMENT

For the first time in history, Congress will not allow an increase in the social security COLA (cost of living adjustment).  In fact, The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation predicts there may not be any social security COLA for the next three years.

However, the per person monthly Medicare Insurance premium will be increased from the 2009 premium of $96.40 to $104..20 in 2010 and to $120.20 for the year 2011.

Send this to all the seniors that you know and remind them not to vote for the incumbent senators and congressmen in the 2010 and the 2012 Elections!!!!

And don't forget - CONGRESS GAVE THEMSELVES A PAY RAISE IN THIS YEAR OF LITTLE TO NO INFLATION...

Taking care of themselves while representing us?

WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THAT??????

God Bless America!

Here's a short movie of the same thing.  Yes, the ship is heeling over

She looks beautiful and that seems like a genuine happy smile – not a stressed out grimace or anything – the animal class sound interesting to me and I can’t wait to hear about some of things they do throughout the semester for that.  Hugs and Loves and good luck freshman wishes!!!!

Hey Y'all!

Brittany had her freshman orientation today! She was very excited and she loved every minute of it! I guess I wasn't too bad of a teacher (although I think that it had less to do with my teaching and more to do with the fact that she is just a smarty pants!) cuz she aced her placement test and is taking Honors English, Algebra, Science, History, PE, Animal Science (elective, first 1/2 semester), Freshman Seminar (elective, first 1/2 semester), Theater (elective, second 1/2 semester), and Journalism (elective, second 1/2 semester). She is also signed up for the Key Club also known as the Random Acts of Kindness Club! Just thought that I would share a picture from today! This is her new school t-shirt for field trips. They take frequent field trips for Animal Science to volunteer at the UNC student-run vet school clinic. Even though she isn't interested in becoming a vet any longer, she is still very interested in learning about animals. Something to fall back on if being a writer doesn't pay! LOL! She was mostly interested in the fact that she has a career advisor at 14!

She also got her hair chopped to donate to Locks of Love! This time she is donating 11 inches. She loves it! She prefers to have shorter hair but she enjoys growing it out to donate it. Last time she donated 15 inches but she wanted to have a cut before school started. She also had to get glasses. She doesn't mind them. She actually likes them. She knows she is smart but now she thinks that she looks it. Kids are funny! As she was trying them on, she was looking at herself in the mirror and said "Ya know, I think that God said that the meek shall inherit the Earth. That may be true..... but the geeks are going to rule it!", with a big grin on her face! She is very happy to be different! She used to not like it but she realizes that it makes her who she is and she likes who she is, so likes being different. She says that some people may march to the beat of their own drummer but not her. She is so different that she marches to the honk of her own flugelhorn! Don't ask me how she knows what a flugelhorn is! I had to look it up!

---LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE
A US Congressman was seated next to a little girl on the airplane when the Congressman turned to her and said, 'Let's talk. I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.'

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, 'What would you like to talk about?'

'Oh, I don't know,' said the stranger. 'How about the banking crisis?' and he smiles.

OK, ' she said. 'That could be an interesting and timely topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and an antelope all eat the same stuff - grass. Yet an antelope excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?'

The Congressman, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, 'Hmmm, I have no idea.'
To which the little girl replies, 'Do you really feel qualified to discuss banking when you don't know shit?'

This is funny.

'I GOT YOUR MAMA'

Little Carol came into the kitchen where her mother was making
Dinner.
Her birthday was coming up and she thought this was a good time
To tell her mother what she wanted. 'Mom, I want a bike for my
Birthday.'
Now, Little Carol was a bit of a troublemaker. She had gotten
Into trouble at school and at home.. Carol's mother asked her if she
Thought she deserved to get a bike for her birthday. Little Carol, of
Course, thought she did.
Carol's mother, being a Christian woman, wanted her to reflect
On her behavior over the last year, and write a letter to God and tell
Him why she deserved a bike for her birthday. Little Carol stomped up
The steps to her room and sat down to write God a letter.

       _______________________________
       LETTER 1:
         Dear God:
I have been a very good girl this year and I would like a bike
For my birthday. I want a red one. Your friend, Carol

Carol knew this wasn't true. She had not been a very good girl
This year, so she tore up the letter and started over.

       ________________________________
       LETTER 2:
         Dear God:

This is your friend Carol. I have been a pretty good girl this
Year and I would like a red bike for my birthday.

       Thank you, Carol

Carol knew this wasn't true either. She tore up the letter and
Started again.

       ________________________________
       LETTER 3:
       Dear God:
I know I haven't been a good girl this year. I am very sorry.
I will be a good girl if you just send me a red bike for my birthday.

       Thank you, Carol

Carol knew, even if it was true, this letter was not going to
Get her a bike. By now, she was very upset. She went downstairs and
Told her mother she wanted to go to church. Carol's mother thought her
Plan had worked because Carol looked very sad.

'Just be home in time for dinner,' her mother said. Carol walked
Down the street to the church and up to the altar. She looked around to
See if anyone was there. She picked up a statue of the Virgin Mary,
Slipped it under her jacket and ran out of the church, down the street,
Into her house, and up to her room. She shut the door and sat down and
Wrote her letter to God.

       ________________________________
       LETTER 4:

       I GOT YOUR MAMA.

IF YOU WANT TO SEE HER AGAIN, SEND THE BIKE.

       Signed, YOU KNOW WHO

Remember this next time you walk up to the ticket window of your local movie theater with $10 in your hand.

The  Media (Accidently?) Missed  this one!!!!

The  troops overseas would like you to send it to everybody you know.

Denzel  Washington, and Brooks  Army Medical Center

Don't  know whether you  heard about this but
Denzel  Washington and  his family visited the troops at  Brook Army Medical Center, in San  Antonio,   Texas  (BAMC) the other day. This is where soldiers who have been evacuated from Germany come to be hospitalized in the United States , especially burn  victims. There are some buildings there called Fisher Houses.

The Fisher House is a Hotel where soldiers' families can stay, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the Hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base, but as you can imagine, they are almost filled most of the time.

While Denzel Washington was visiting  BAMC, they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses.
He  asked how much one of them would cost to build.
He took his checkbook out and wrote a check for the
full  amount right there on the spot.
The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear this story
and want to get the word out to the American public,
because it warmed their hearts  to hear it.

The question is:
why  do:
Brad  Pitt, Madonna, Tom Cruise and other Hollywood fluff
make  front page news with their ridiculous
antics and Denzel Washington's Patriotism
doesn't even make page 3 in the Metro section of any newspaper
 except the Local newspaper in
San Antonio .

A true American and  friend to all in uniform!

This  needs  as wide a  distribution
as we can create.
 Share it!

Hey!
Yesterday was Bella's first day of performance as 'Babette' in The Aristocats!
She was awesome and has had a blast the past 3 weeks at Broadway camp.
Tonight is her last night (Friday 7:00pm at JBHS performing arts center) tickets are $5

We couldn't take photos during the performance so you don't see her in full costume in these pics but maybe tonight they will allow more photos.
Bella and her friend Pearl who plays 'Marie'
Bella and Chris (one of her camp leaders)

The real measure of success is the way your kids describe you when they're talking to their friends.

When your boyfriend, husband or significant other does something that makes you angry don't give in to the temptation to argue and fight.
Just count to ten, remain calm and after he goes to bed, super-glue his flip flops

To the floor.

I could watch this one over and over. OH wait a minute, I have!!!

The Original Computer!!!!

This made me laugh out loud...

Memory was something you lost with age
An application was for employment
A program was a TV show
A cursor used profanity
A keyboard was a piano
A web was a spider's home
A virus was the flu
A CD was a bank account

A hard drive was a long trip on the road A mouse pad was where a mouse lived

And if you had a 3 inch floppy,

You just hoped nobody ever found out!!
