This group is a tribute to the beautiful Canadian born actress named Emmanuelle Chriqui. Emmanuelle was born on December 10, 1977 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her family is from Morocco. She has one sister named Laurence and a brother - both older. She was in her early teens attending a performing arts school. "At 16 I was on my own in Toronto after my mother died and my father moved back to Montreal," says Chriqui. TV commercials gave way to small parts on TV shows -- "One line, two lines, three lines, it was a slow build," she remembers. Telefilms and guest shots on TV series such as Traders, Forever Knight, Kung Fu, Once A Thief and PSI Factor, followed. "It was a bizarre time, but somehow I was driven in all that chaos," she says. Subsequent moves from Toronto to Vancouver, to L.A, to New York and back to L.A. kept her travelling where the work was, including a return to Toronto for a Detroit Rock City shoot. It's been a decade-long grind, but she has no "starting at the bottom" regrets. "It's wonderful place to start, because you have no illusions," she says. "It also gave me a backbone and an education." Chriqui chuckles again. "And they do appreciate it on set when you can find your light without being told a thousand times where to move."
