Here is a look at the in progress sample paint schemes for Gigan. These are
similar to the final but, are not the final finished version. The article does
reference MM28 and there is a prototype of Godzilla in there. I like the way the
Kaiju are lined up from DAM and G vs.G.

Also, for anyone looking for the Bandai Creation 12' Gigan. Toys R Us has it for
sale on their website, the picture on the page is wrong, the BC Godzilla'68 is
pictured instead of Gigan.

Yes, they will play fine on US blu-ray players and the PS3 but be aware they
do not have optional English language audio soundtracks or English language
subtitles.

Toho has even more blu-ray titles coming in 2010. The second series is on
it's way to my home now. I can't wait to watch GMK in true HD, I hope all of the
extras from the 3 disc DVD set of GMK are ported over for the blu-ray
version.Here are the new titles;

That March 2010 wave of releases looks great. I knew Mothra vs Godzilla
and Ghidorah '64 was in the 3/10 wave based on a tiny blurb in the advertisement
included with the Godzilla '54 blu-ray, but seeing Atragon in this batch is

a great surprise. It also looks like the March wave of blu-rays will have

some new bonus features in addition to 'porting over the previous bonus

features form the older dvd releases.

I too am looking forward to GMK arriving on blu-ray. However, based on the

description of what's included on this release, I don't think it will

include much of the content on the 2nd and 3rd dvd off the box set except in

some sort of condensed "Making Of" feature.

T.B.

I'll have to get a new blu-ray player as my old one, like Elvis has left the
building, before I can check the discs out. I'm really excited about the
inclusion of the corresponding part of the Toho tokosatsu SF video clips added
to the blu-rays. Also, the pip conte feature and the tour of Godzilla's city
location sites feature looks cool too. The 2009 Toho studios prop warehouse tour
looks interesting too. Maybe similar to the 2002 looking for props extra with
Kawakita San.Kevin H.

Most of the X-Plus figures are made from Monster Maker 28's line of resin kit
figures. The Marmit kits are either old Mermaid kits or new sculpts from Marmit.
I just got in the mail a few days ago the Marmit pre-built and pre-painted
Anguirus vinyl figure from the Marmit vinyl kit and it is a beautiful figure.
But, tho similar in pose, the differences between it and the X-plus figure are
not only in size and detail. But, in intricate sculpting and coloring on the
figure.Bottum line is that both lines are great and are definitly worth getting
if you can.

Since X-plus Anguirus has come up again, I wonder if Mike sent out an
anouncement on this one yet? And if anyone knows an approximate price?

I am mildly interested... if the price is not too awfully high.

Anyone know?

You know it's funny that you said that, I was thinking about the wave kit also.
Over this past weekend on the Godzilla and Kaiju model kit Yahoo group. There was
a great discussion going on about these new Toho figures from X-Plus are made
from the molds of the Monster Maker 28 resin kits. That is cool with me as I
really like MM28's Godzilla'64 and GMK Godzilla kits. Hopefully, X-Plus will
continue on and get to them eventualy.

Can anyone here give me Greg Lineman or Lyman, not sure how to spell his last
name, but can you give me his e-mail address? He had a dealers table at G-Fest
this past year in the fare left back corner of the room. He had a bunch of
Bandai's. Dutch and myself bought a ton of them off him. I don't if he is on
the list or not but if you know him I'm trying to contact him.

Thanks,
Brandon

shows and Kaiju events. Last night we got to go to the opening night of a
Heisei Godzilla Fim Festival in Ginza, in Tokyo. They are showing a total of
six movies over the course of a the month. The first film was Godzilla vs.
Biollante! The event is being sponsored by Godzilla Ya which is a small
collectors toy store here in Tokyo. On sale at the theater were several cool
items like the new Perfect Godzilla Sound Track Box sets, Godzilla 2010 desk
calenders and the new Godzilla Chronicles Book (55 years a Star) which features
Special Effects and behind the scenes shots of filming the various Heisei
Movies. This book has over 200 pages and is not scheduled for offical release
until 11/30/09. We also picked up a few of the press kit flyers, but the best
goodie we got our little claws on was the HEISEI GODZILLA FILM FESTIVAL POSTER!!
This poster is a commercial poster, but it is really beautiful. It features all
the monsters from the various Heisei movies on the top and all the super weapons
and machines featured in the films on the bottom. We will be getting these up
on our site in the next day or so. Kowakita-san who did the special effects for
Biollante, Omori-san who wrote/directed and Koichi Ueda who played the General
trying to kill Godzilla spoke for about 20 minutes prior to the showing. It was
a very good print of a movie that is seldom seen on the big (pretty big) screen.
They will be showing all the Heisei films over the course of this month. We
plan to see as many as we can. The movies start at 9pm and following the movie
we had to run to catch the train so we could make it back home before the trains
stopped running. We got packed in like sardines on the train and we were only
able to keep the posters from getting crushed was by holding them over our
heads. It was worth getting squished on the train ride and getting back home at
1 am to see the movie. We will try and get a few photos of the event up on our
site. We only were able to get a few of these beautiful posters so if you want
one you need to move on it soon. Godzilla is alive and well in Tokyo!! Zilla
