Just posted a new fan pic that one of our group members (Sunkrux) was nice
enough to let me use. It was taken this past Saturday in Los Angeles during the
weekend premiere of "Women In Trouble". Congrats to Sunkrux for meeting Carla &
being one of the lucky few to see this movie as well. I was also lucky enough to
see the film & meet the director (Carla's b/f) this past summer at a film
festival here in Michigan & i thought it was great. Definitely one of Carla's
most interesting roles & it's pretty funny too. So if any of you guys live near
NYC or LA, I highly recommend it.

The movie is funny and poignant but definitely not for minors. I really enjoyed
it. Can't wait to see the rest of the trilogy. :D

Well, Carla had to leave early to catch her plane. But Ferguson knew that up
front, and should have therefore been more courteous and given her more time to
speak - especially when she fed him several things that he could have followed
up on. (IMNSHO :-) )

the first guest. Most other first guests get anywhere from 7 - 10 minutes. I
like Craig & think he's a funny guy but sometimes he has a tendency to ramble on
& on until there's only about 20 mins left for his guests. Not sure if that's
his idea or the producers but they should definitely change that.

I thought I was the only one who thought that way. A five minute interview spent on stupidities. Carla barely got a word in edgewise. I thought she was there to promote her new film "Women in Trouble". Craig was acting like a hyperactive teenager obsessed with Carla. Very disappointing.

This is the first I've ever heard of Craig Ferguson. I thought he acted like a jerk, and barely gave Carla a chance to deliver her message - the reason she was there. He seems to be all about himself.
I thought Carla handled his boorishness with lots of cool and class. She gave him a number of chances to have a decent interview, but he was just oblivious:-(

Hi there!
I've added the article and the pictures from the "Manhattan Magazine" -
March/April '09 to the group. Carla is the cover girl!
I would have missed that magazine, but fortunately it was mentioned in the NIAF
video. Have you watched it yet? If not, do so now, it's really nice:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho7JlOa8MRI
Reminder: Carla Gugino will be on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson"
tonight! Don't miss it... :)
Hey guys,
I just made some screen caps from a really neat video that you can watch either
on youtube or over at the Carla community
(http://community.livejournal.com/carla_gugino/). It is a recent video taken
from the NIAF Gala in Washington D.C. where Carla received a Special Achievement
Award in Entertainment. They showed several never before seen pix of Carla when
she was a child, her family & then went on to talk about her career in tv, film
& stage. So make sure to come take a look. It's well worth it.
From time to time I've been asked when "Our Lady of Victory" will come to
cinemas. Unfortunately I don't know. The release date of this movie changed a
couple of times in the past, now it's planned for spring 2010 - we'll see.
Not only the release date changes, apparently the title as well ;)
Seems "Our Lady of Victory" is now "The Mighty Macs"
Watch the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KExhDXNyKXY
Today you get pictures from the following events:
- 2009/10/13 2009 Freedom Awards at the Bovard Auditorium at USC in Los Angeles
- 2009/10/16 13th Annual Latino International Film Festival at Paramount Theater
on the Paramount Studios in Los Angeles
- 2009/10/25 National Italian American Foundation's 34th Anniversary at the
Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C.
As always - enjoy!
Ok, I have a slight confession.... I'm not really sure if these 4 fashion pics
are really new or not because they were up for auction & there was no date
attached to them. Carla's hair is also much longer than it has been in recent
times so that leads me to believe that these are somewhat older pics. But I can
tell that they were still taken within the last several years & they are all
fantastic. So make sure to come take a look.
Later!
Hi there!
I've uploaded two sets of photos:
1) 5 x 2009/09/10 Vogue Fashion's Night Out At Roseark - Yes I know the photos
were taken almost a month ago. Sorry for that. I've uploaded them to the LJ
community and totally forgot to put them up here. But better late than never,
right? ;)
2) 10 x 2009/10/03 Autism Speaks' 7th Annual 'Acts Of Love' Benefit
Enjoy!
And other good news are that "Sparks" is available on DVD now!
Sparks is a 24 minutes short film by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, based on an
adaptation of Elmore Leonard. With Carla Gugino, Eric Stoltz, Xander Berkeley
and Elizabeth Clemmons.
You can order it here:

Women in Trouble will come to cinemas November 13, 2009.
A social media campaign has been designed for the movie, and in particular the
character of Elektra Luxx. It's going to be official soon, and you are amongst
the first to know about it.
You already know the Elektra Luxx Blog http://womeninecstasy.blogspot.com/ but
there is a lot more to explore!
The following sites are all part of the campaign:
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Elektra-Luxx/279952940272?ref=ts
Twitter: http://twitter.com/Elektra_Luxx
Google Profile: http://www.google.com/profiles/TheElektraLuxx
Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/elektraluxx
An own YouTube channel might follow.
Please note: If you join one of the sites above, you will !not! talk to Carla
Gugino, but her alter ego Elektra Luxx. And she's quite active! So if you're
using any of the named networks, go take a look and follow her.
Speaking of following - our sister site, the Carla Gugino LiveJournal Community
has now its own Twitter page! It was actually created to follow Ms. Luxx, but I
plan to post the updates for the comm there.
If you have a Twitter account and would like to follow us:

Hey guys,
Carla recently posed for fashion designer Marc Jacobs' "Protect the Skin You're
In" melanoma naked T-shirt campaign & she is on the front of the shirt. They
can be found on ebay & a few other sites but are quite expensive. Very sexy
image of Carla though. Anyway I just posted a few photos of it in the group so
come take a look. If anyone wants to bid on the shirt, here's the link:

Hey Everyone, I just added many new photos that are from events that Carla has
attended over the last seven years. Some of them even I had never seen until
recently. So make sure to take a look.
Also, many thank's to Gentle Mistral for proving them to me.
Till next time.....
We have some new photo sets for you:
- 2009/08/10 Inglorious Basterds Premiere
- 2009/08/11 Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Installation Luncheon
- Scans from the "Flaunt Magazine"
Enjoy!
I've just added photos from these two events:
- 2009/05/28 Burberry 'Lights Up New York Skyline' at the New York Palace Hotel
in New York
and
- 2009/05/20 Lia Sophia Upfront Suite at the London Hotel in New York
Enjoy!
Hey guys, I just updated the magazine section with a couple new shots of Carla
from NY Moves & also added a few stitched pics from the magazine so that you can
see them the way they were in the magazine. My thanks to gentlemistral for
providing the edited versions.
Also, I would just like to ask that if anybody wants to use my scans at their
website or wants to put them up at a picture forum, that's fine but please
credit me if you do so. I usually have to pay for these pics & it also takes
alot of time to edit them so it's only fair to mention where you got them from.
Well, that's all for now.
Enjoy the new pics.

Thanks. My VCR will be on while I am at work Tuesday!
Hey gang, I just got a hold of a Very hard to find (Especially if you live
outsde New York) copy of NY Moves magazine & let me tell ya, it wasn't cheap! I
almost had to refinance the house! LOL But after seeing some great preview pics
at our moderators community, I just couldn't let it slip away & not have it as a
part of my ever growing & humongous Carla collection. I also wanted to be able
to have the several great pics that are contained within it's massive pages
right here in our beloved group. So I hope u all enjoy the new pix & if anyone
out there ever wants to donate to the future Carla magazine relief fund, I will
take any & all contributions. ;)
