In a very recent interview conducted by Mark Morton that was posted this past
Friday the 13th at www.examiner.com, Harry discusses his evolution of composing
going from the original Friday the 13th to Swamp Thing to Deep Star Six to Jason
X and then to more recent movies like Choker.

"Were you even approached to be involved with the remake?

I think a lot of fans were asking for me, and I definitely would have done it if
someone had asked me. But I think that the powers-that-be felt that it was going
to be a whole new Jason. They didn't even use Kane [Hodder] or the guy from
Freddy vs. Jason [Ken Kirzinger]. They used somebody else completely, and they
also went with a different composer [Brian Tyler].

Now, I haven't seen the movie, nor do I know what the music sounds like. I was
getting phone calls like crazy when it came out from people saying, "this is all
screwed up," "this doesn't make any sense," "Jason doesn't run," and whatever
else bothered them. And they didn't seem to like the music at all – at least the
hardcore fans. I know there is a big push from a lot of fans to have me back for
the new one next year. Like I said, I'd be more than happy to do it. I would
have also been happy to do that last one, too! But those are things that are not
in my control."

Edward Woodward passed away. He is best known for his role in the 1973 horror
film The Wickerman but also starred in Simon Pegg's HOT FUZZ.

Edward Woodward died in hospital with his family around him. He had roles in
nearly 100 different films and TV shows in his very long career. RIP Edward.

So back in the day we told you a Silent Hill 2 was coming at which point
everyone said we were on crack, shortly after it was proven to be right. Around
here we try not to make up our stories as much as possible. Although I will
admit when Goon is on crack he does make up alot of stuff. The sequel was
confirmed a long time ago but now from ShocktilyouDrop comes word that it might
start filming in 2010. Designer Paul Jones tells them;

"I was working on storyboards for that around the same time last year…It's going
to be pretty crazy. There's a lot of cool stuff in there. Roger (Avary) has some
awesome ideas and hopefully we're going to bring that to fruition sometime next
year."

Silent Hill was a very visually slick film and Silent Hill 2 if done right could
be a big hit.

Well here's something that's coming out of left field: There may be an EXORCIST
mini-series on the way!

I shit you not folks. And get this: It's coming from the same duo who brought us
the classic film! Whoa... let's take a step back. You see EXORCIST scriber
William Peter Blatty recently chatted with Cemetary Dance magazine where he
divulged the juicy information. The scoop came in the answer to a question
asking if there's anything Blatty would change about his epic story:

"Yes and no. I would love to have been able to include the subplot involving
Karl and his daughter Elvira which I did in my first draft, but that script ran
to 172 pages, much, much too long. But I might have it my way in the near
future, inasmuch as I've written an Exorcist miniseries script that not only
faithfully includes all the main elements of the novel, but also some rather
spooky new material and scenes, as well as a totally new (and perhaps much more
satisfying) ending. I've also updated it. Billy Friedkin has agreed to direct."

No specs yet but today comes word from Matt that Zombieland will be on DVD
February 2nd. Their will be a regular DVD, a Bluray and a Special Edition
release. I know there were a variety of alternate endings as well as deleted
scenes so here is hoping they make the special edition dvd. In other good news
which we told you about months ago... the writers and stars are on board for a
sequel!

Bring on Zombieland 2!!! The film has an outstanding 87.22% approval rating
based on 18 reviews by the folks that matter.. you the fans ( ok and a few of us
staff writers ). Zombieland kicks ass and so will zombieland 2!

The hit  $15,000 thriller PARANORMAL ACTIVITY has grown from its midnight-only
showings in a handful of college towns to become this year's biggest movie
phenomenon, and will cross $100 million at the box office after only five
weekends of national release as of Friday. In so doing, the movie has become the
top grossing R-Rated thriller of the past decade.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY began its theatrical life with midnight-only screenings in
12 college towns across the U.S. and quickly developed into a national wide hit,
with fans visiting the ParanormalMovie.com website and demanded the film be
brought to their city.  After more than 1 million such requests, Paramount
expanded the film nationally where it has been playing to packed theaters ever
since.

"What is truly amazing about PARANORMAL ACTIVITY is the depth of commitment from
fans who demanded to see it," said Paramount Pictures Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer Brad Grey. "Adam Goodman, our head of production, believed in
the film and championed it from the very first screening. This box-office

In PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, after a young, middle class couple moves into what seems
like a typical suburban "starter" tract house, they become increasingly
disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic, but is certainly most
active in the middle of the night.  Especially when they sleep.  Or try to. 
Directed, written and produced by Oren Peli, the innovative thriller stars Katie
Featherston and Micah Sloat.  The film was produced by Jason Blum.  Steven
Schneider served as executive producer.

Paranormal Activity has an 83% Approval rating based off reviews by fans and
staff of this site.

almost feel bad for Saw VI. The flick delivered on all counts; yet, it
performed really badly at the box office. We can only hazard a guess that the
damage done by the abysmal Part V left audiences so cold that the new film was
something they weren't going to bank on this year. David Hackl, director of Part
V, now has a date for redemption with his new flick Saw VII 3D.


Can he pull it off, or should Kevin Gruetert (director of VI) been given another
shot? Nothing against Hackl, but we're inclined to believe the latter. Gruetert
proved he had the chops to get things back on track. At least writers Marcus
Dunstan and Patrick Melton are back. Guess we'll find out what happens on
October 22, 2010, as that's the date Lionsgate is circling for Saw VII 3D to
invade theatres.
