Description

Bette Davis, along with John Garfield, established a club during World War II called the Hollywood Canteen off of Sunset Blvd. It gave servicemen the chance to meet their favorite stars and to even be waited upon by them. It was a very popular stop in Hollywood and Miss Davis deserves much credit for providing her name and prestige to the project that turned out so well for all.
